Orphan Villages Sustainment


Constructing orphan villages and sustaining them is one of the central working areas of the One Solid Ummah and IHCRO. By the donations of generous supporters, OSU and IHCRO human relief associates have constructed six orphan villages  in Idlib, Syria so far. Currently, there are 150 houses exist and 150 orphan families are living in those villages. But, our responsibilities for these villages are not over yet. The sustainment of these villages is our current mission. 

The scope of the sustainment work is as follows:

1. Diesel fuel to run electricty for all the homes and pump water from the wells to homes,
2. Monthly food bags,
3. Gas cylinders to help each family cook,
4. Daily bread service,
5. Operating 3 schools with over 600 children enrolled,
6. Guards to keep villages safe at night,
7. Quran school team of teachers,
8. Cleaning personnel dedicated to waste collection,
9. Household maintenance, broken and wear & tear replacement,
10. Providing orphans with proper clothing throught the year,
11. Transportation for widows and orphans to areas of public transportation, 
12. Medical expenses and medicine for more than 1000 children under our care,
